Millet is a low GI, gluten free, Non allergenic grain with an array of B Vitamins and minerals such as magnesium which provides you with an abundance of energy for the day ahead.
Although Millet has a component of Protein, it is essential to add either Seeds or Nuts to ensure you have enough protein to start the day.
What you will need...
- 1 Cup of Millet
- 1/2 tsp Coconut Oil
- 2 Cups Boiling Water
- 1/2 Banana
- 1/2 Apple
- 1 tbsp Sunflower Seeds
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
Heat the oil in a saucepan on low, Add the Water and the Millet and stir occasionally for about 8-10mins or the consistency is like porridge.
Transfer to your dish and top with the Banana, Apple, Seeds and CInnamon.
If you have a sweet tooth you can add a touch of honey.
